Coon Herefords Coon Herefords is located in Goodland, KS and have been raising herefords for many years. The results have been dynamic.

In 2011, we began a registered herd using embryo transfer and artificial insemination to lay a maternal foundation for our cow herd. Only the best proven genetics from both line one horned herefords and polled herefords have been used.

Alright, let’s have a little fun introducing our newest herd sire. Here’s two truths and a lie, see if you can figure out the lie.
1. We raised him ourselves
2. He has a 1.56 REA EPD which ranks him as the number 10 bull in the entire Hereford breed for REA EPD
3. He’s black Angus

This is C**n Durango 700 ET, she’s nine years old and out on some failed wheat. I have always appreciated this cow’s look but she’s a lot more than that. Three years ago we flushed her and got 30 embryos, and over the past two years she has moved her calving date up 45 days each year. To says there’s some fertility here is an understatement!

So many things I can say about this heifer. She is a product of a very successful flush of our 700 cow that produced around 30 embryos. Her sire, Steadfast is on stud with ST Genetics, and produces extra thickness in his progeny and udders like this! She’s a complete animal and she and her female flush mates are all dropping calves out of Smokey. We are very excited for the future!!
