🌱 Happy May 1 from Hope Farms!

Today we are leaning into the work of a brand-new month — planting, planning, prepping beds, checking seedlings, and getting ready for a full season of growth.

May feels like the doorway into everything we’ve been dreaming about all winter: fresh vegetables, flowers, farmers market days, meaningful work, and seeing this little farm continue to grow into something beautiful.

At Hope Farms, we believe growth happens in the soil and in people. Every seed planted today is part of something bigger. 💚

Guess what? No, not chicken butt 🐥🐥We now have an Etsy Shop! You can purchase many of our farm made products any time of the year now. Please go take a look and let us know what you think of our new shop. We only have a few items currently listed but be on the look out for many more to come.

New for us this year, purple sweet potatoes! I have personally never tried them but Sarah Elizabeth Low Hunter says they are delicious! So when I saw them at Trader Joe's, I grabbed them up to give 'em a try this year. I sure hope that they are as good as Sarah says because they are the MOST prolific slips I have ever started! Looks like I will have so many that I will likely have extras to share. It's also not too late for you to start some yourself. MIgardener starts his in soil. I try that every year but continue to have the best luck with the water method. I keep trying though. I love a good experiment.
