Another great weekend in our happy place, where we cook in a parking lot and spend time with the BBQ family.
We were blessed to attend the 22nd Burnt Offerings BBQ Contest at Magnolia Church
This is always a Great competition to attend! Thank you so much to Barnaby Antunez and his crew for putting on a great event and feeding us all weekend!

Our Results were:
10th place Chicken 🐔 🍗
27th place in Ribs 🐖 🫪 too tight
9th place Pork 🐷 🤣 worst cook ever
13th place Brisket 🐮We thought it was 💰, judges did not 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️ Snake River Farms
18th place overall!

Congratulations to Cynical BBQ on Reserve Grand Champion, and to everyone who walked!

Regardless of where we land, we love this crazy hobby that allows us to spend time together, and we can’t wait for the next one! See you all in NM!! 🔥

Upcoming events! Show up to Springerville and Mesa to eat some incredible Bbq!

After taking the summer off from catering and competitions.
We were so blessed and honored to cater an incredible event at Tempe Diablo Stadium for students before they went back to college in Tempe.

Our Hunsaker smokers did the last leg of the work for this event, manned by Jimmy, as I got all the catering ready.

Everyone raved about the food and the setup. The new BBQ sauces we came up with were a hit, and everyone especially loved the Mac n cheese, as always. What a Blessing!

We are cleaned up and ready for the last bit of competition season over the next few months. We have missed it, and we are ready to get back to it.

Next up: Rib throwdown and people’s choice.

The 20th annual Best Dam BBQ Challenge was a blast!

We rolled our timelines and a couple of small changes we were practicing.

In the end it worked out incredibly well for our chicken and not so much on our other meats.

1st place Chicken 🍗🥇w/ PERFECT/PERFECT 180 Score and an Invite to KCBS World Invitational Championship 2027.

27th place Ribs –🩻🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

14th place Pork-🐖 Money for days!!

12th place Brisket - 🐮😳

14th place overall….

Krissy’s goal was to get 180 on her chicken this year, not only did she get it, but she also went above and beyond! What a blessing to get that Perfect/Perfect on her Chicken! She is still so excited and will probably celebrate this one for some time.

Congratulations to on kickin’ butt again and taking GC and Uncle Jessie’s on winning RGC.

Time to take some much-needed time off and then work on RIBS and PORK.

Unless something else comes our way, we are off until September. Have a great summer BBQ fam!
