The 20th annual Best Dam BBQ Challenge was a blast!

We rolled our timelines and a couple of small changes we were practicing.

In the end it worked out incredibly well for our chicken and not so much on our other meats.

1st place Chicken 🍗🥇w/ PERFECT/PERFECT 180 Score and an Invite to KCBS World Invitational Championship 2027.

27th place Ribs –🩻🤷‍♂️🤷‍♀️

14th place Pork-🐖 Money for days!!

12th place Brisket - 🐮😳

14th place overall….

Krissy’s goal was to get 180 on her chicken this year, not only did she get it, but she also went above and beyond! What a blessing to get that Perfect/Perfect on her Chicken! She is still so excited and will probably celebrate this one for some time.

Congratulations to on kickin’ butt again and taking GC and Uncle Jessie’s on winning RGC.

Time to take some much-needed time off and then work on RIBS and PORK.

We were in our happy place, cooking in the sand this time and braving the heat at the Q’s and Brews KCBS event in Lake Havasu, AZ again.
Great competition right next to the water and lots of great people to share our food with!

Missed post… On March 21st, we participated in the 14th Annual Guys Who Grill event that benefited the Webb Center’s summer arts camp, Camp Imagination.
It wasn’t really an official competition since no money was awarded—more of a fun time with the Wickenburg community while supporting a great cause.
We decided to try out some different brines, rubs, and meats. The turn‑in times were also two hours earlier than normal, but we still had a great time.
This event may not be coming back after they complete some renovations, but we’ll see.
Thanks to Mike and Janet for hosting a great time for a great cause and all of the incredible people who braved the heat to try some great Bbq!

We decided at the last minute to roll into Lake Havasu for the 1st Annual Smokin’ in the Sand BBQ Competition.
We were in our happy place, cooking in the parking lot with a great view of the Colorado River.

Our Results were:

Support Needed for March 21st Charity Event

On March 21st, Pork Bombin BBQ will be serving at a charity-only event, and we’re reaching out for sponsors and donations to help make it a success.

We’re seeking support to help purchase meat, supplies, and to provide donations for Arts programs for kids. Any contribution — big or small — would make a meaningful difference and is sincerely appreciated.

We are home and a little rested after a great weekend in Tucson at The 13th Annual Freedom RV Throwdown.

The weather was great, and our Az Bbq family was even better.

Our Results were:

7th place Brisket 🐮🏆 (Costco Prime)
1st place Overall out of 30 teams

We took a quick trip to Riverside, California, to compete in the Golden State Battle VIII. We left Friday mid-morning and returned home at 1 AM on Sunday. We’re so happy we went!

The weather was perfect, and the BBQ family was incredible, as always! We had a weekend filled with firsts. We believed our cook was good, except for our pork, and the judges finally agreed with us! 🙌

Our Results:
- **Chicken**: 9th place 🐔 🔥
- **Ribs**: 6th place 🐖 🔥
- **Pork**: 12th place 🐷 😒
- **Brisket**: 1st place 🐮🥇
- **Overall**: 4th place out of 41 teams, with a score of 702.7884.

This is our biggest accomplishment yet! 🎉

Finally home from and a little rested after a very intense weekend —if it could go wrong, it did—vehicle issues, allergies, a fall, the wind, and work issues.

But regardless, we cooked, turned in all 4 meats, and did 2 ancillaries. Besides our ribs, we thought the other meats were great; however, the judges disagreed 😩🤯…

Results were:
30th Chicken 🐔 😳
13th place in Ribs 🐖 🤯
46th Pork 🐷 😭
30th place Brisket🥩 😤

35th place Overall out of 53 teams

What an incredible weekend cooking in a parking lot ( As Smitty would say!) at the 3rd annual BBQ Classic.

Friday night, we had peoples-choice appetizers and desserts.
Krissy did the appetizer and dessert for the judges, too.
Saturday was people’s choice, anything, and a regular four-meat competition.

Our Results-

7th in pork 🐷
14th in brisket 🐄
3rd place overall
3rd in Dessert 🍮
2nd in people’s choice
