Good morning! It’s a warm, overcast, and slightly rainy day—but that never stops us from hunting for the perfect plants! 🌿
We often get asked: When is the best time to buy plants? Ideally, fall is the absolute best season for planting, though finding good inventory can sometimes be a challenge.
Another common question: Should you buy an older, potted tree or a bare-root tree? > Honestly, we prefer buying older trees whenever we can. We don't worry too much about them being root-bound.
The fix is simple: just give the root ball a good soak and gently tease the roots apart before putting it in the ground.
The truth is, when newly planted trees fail, it’s rarely because they weren't bare-root. More often than not, it comes down to improper soil preparation and a lack of mulch. Set your soil up for success, and your trees will thrive!
