We had such a fun time with Rooted in Foods and the WSIU Public Television crew, welcoming them to the farm to show what we do (I can't wait to see what they do with all the drone footage). It was a hot day, for sure, but it all went so well and we had a great time.

Thank you to Rooted in Foods and the WSIU Public Television crew for coming out—we can’t wait for everyone to see this in October! Stay tuned!

It’s that time again!! GINGERFEST is back, baeeebeeeee! This year it’s on Sunday, September 27th, so put it on your calendar now! If you came by for last year's festivities, we know you can’t wait for this year's shenanigans, and we’re so excited to invite you all back! We’ll have tons of food and vendors to shop with, kids activities, games, music, and of course U-PICK GINGER & TURMERIC! (We’ll help don’t worry lol)

New week, new flavor on LEAF Food Hub !

If you missed us at the market this weekend, we’ve just added more goodies online for midweek pickup.

Here’s what’s fresh this week:

Strawberry Lemonade
This was our fresh drink special at the market, and we made one limited batch. Grab a bottle while it’s available before we switch to the next flavor.

Shish*to Peppers
The plants are really producing right now. These are great blistered in a hot skillet with olive oil, then finished with one of our seasonings. Simple, quick, and so good.

Farm-Fresh Spices & Chili Powders
If you’re restocking your pantry, it’s a good time to restock your favorite seasoning, smoked paprika, and other spices, too.

Watermelon Limeade: Each week, we make a different fresh summer drink special for the market. We only make one limited batch, so this is your chance to grab Watermelon Limeade on LEAF before we move on to the next seasonal treat.

Fresh Shish*to Peppers: Great for a quick stovetop snack. Just blister them in a pan and finish with a pinch of our seasoning.

Hey I forgot to tell y’all ITS ALMOST CHILIS TIME! Everything’s looking pretty decent so far and a couple weeks early. Speaking of chilis you gotta try our new Goreville Hot Chicken seasoning. I’ve been using it a lot to bake chicken thighs and it’s freakin awesome. Really nice for smoking all kinds of stuff + great on potatoes and in breading for fried goodies. It features 3 chilis we grow and smoke / fire roast and our smoked garlic. Come find us at The Farmers Market of Carbondale and Vine Street Market at O'Fallon Station this Saturday, just cooked up a fresh batch. See ya soon xoxo

Hey y’all! Thank you SO MUCH for celebrating lil miss piggy’s bday with us yesterday! It was super duper fun and boy she was wore the heck out.

Howdy y’all happy Friday! Ok well we got a big one this weekend so here goes!

We are IN at The Farmers Market of Carbondale this weekend. Excited to see you there! I got that new batch of chipotle honey bottled so c’mon down -

We’ll be at Vine Street Market at O'Fallon Station for peach fest and it’s NOMI’S BDAY PARTY! lil miss piggy is super excited to see all of you. Don’t tell her but I made a huge bday card and would love if y’all would sign it. There’s stickers to decorate it too 🙂
I also got that fresh batch of black garlic & chive salt made for you guys, y’all northerners love that stuff lmaoooo

This weeks lemonade is like super duper peach. Fresh peaches from Flamm Orchards, honey from Angie’s Farm and turmeric from yours truly - [extremely abfab voice] health health health

Hey all you LEAF Food Hub’ers out there - sorry for the inventory goof last week, our black bean dip and garlic scape pesto are back in stock! They both come frozen so don’t be scared to grab an extra, it’ll wait for you. We only have a dozen or so pesto left and they are done for the year. Our special this week is melon lemonade, it’s super refreshing and super melon-y, super limited. Last, here’s a totally unrelated picture of lil miss Nomi looking cute as heck.
