Any other dino moms out there to confirm…dinosaurs are taking over the world.

All of my kids have loved and been fascinated by dinosaurs. 🦕

My oldest chose dinosaurs for her 2nd birthday cake.

My second, is asking for a triceratops birthday this year and of course my boy is asking for a t-Rex party.

At this rate, I’m sure the baby will grow up loving them too.

So I’m not even going to complain about having to sleep, eat, and live surrounded by pointy-tailed dinosaur toys, cause one day I know I’ll miss this. 🤍

Being kind always has a reward. I don’t always walk away with an extra drink, but 99% of my interactions with others always end well. 🫶🏼

To me, being kind and understanding of what others are going through is what helps me not perceive or misinterpret others words or actions towards me as malicious.

There’s a quote I love and often refer to when someone is mean or rude to me. I’d love to share it with you guys, and hope it helps you change the way you think and interact with others.

“Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity, ignorance, stress, or negligence.”

Just a reminder that social media is usually the 7 minutes when I actually have it together. 😂

The rest of the day is me looking for missing shoes, reheating the same coffee, forgetting what I walked into a room for, and somehow making it work.

I think we’re all doing a little more “figuring it out as we go” than we let on. 🤍

Listen, I tried, okay? 😂

We spent all morning choosing outfits, running one of the kids to music lessons, and then getting everyone ready for the party.

I was in charge of the money box, so I really wanted to be early. Somehow, even with all that planning, we still arrived right as the party was starting.

My little one woke up from his nap complaining of a headache and just looked uncomfortable. So as soon as we finished eating, we said our goodbyes and started making our way to the door…

And then he threw up. 🥲

We got him cleaned up, gave him some water, and made a quick trip to the store for a few essentials, just in case he continued feeling sick.

We spent more time getting everyone ready than we actually spent at the party. 😂

But honestly, that’s motherhood. Sometimes the plans just… change.

Tonight, I’m just focused on getting my baby comfortable and hoping he feels better soon. 🤍

This is as real as it gets.

I was in the car pick-up line for my daughter. I text my client to confirm our meeting in about an hour & 15 min. And she tells me it’s actually in 15 minutes.

So what do I do? I go to our meeting spot and my husband meets me there, gives me his hoodie to wear, and trades cars with me so he can head home with the kids.

Oh yeah, and btw, my husband is back. 🥰 It sure feels nice to be able to have my partner for everyday moments like these.

It’s ok to ask for help. 🤍

It’s ok to need help. It’s ok to feel overwhelmed. It’s ok to feel like you need space.

But it’s not healthy to bottle it in, and keep it all to yourself.

Ask for help. Take the help.

I’ve been one to always say “I’m ok,” “I got this,” “no, thanks, I’ll manage.”

But just because we CAN do it alone, doesn’t mean we should.

Today, motherhood looked like a full day of errands, driving around, groceries, cleaning, cooking, diapers. And so right now, I chose to change the view and spend some “me” time.

I know not everyone has a village, so if that’s you, I can offer a listening ear and be your village through my corner of TikTok.
