Our water peeps enjoyed the pond today- unfortunately come early spring it will be off limits while we grow pasture.
Hopefully they will have access to a smaller pond in back by then. If not we will set up a kiddie pool water park for our babies.

Rudy the Roo. Rudy started in our main flock, but once we introduced the pretty chickens he moved in with them. Rudy is a bit of a pl***oy. He recently started going between flocks and encourages the ladies in the main flock to fly over the fence. We’ve clipped his wings, but he has mad jumping skills.
He never fails to stop by my window around 2pm while I am working and to say “Hi”with a nice loud crow. He’s a TV star too, was featured on the news at the wedding…the spotlight has definitely gone to his head. I always tell him if he’s not careful he’ll end up in the crock pot, but he knows better.

Lessons from the farm: this goose is having family issues and has decided he does not want to be near them.…maybe they don’t want him either. JD is the goat, if you’ve visited you know that JD is the least friendly animal we have, he’s odd, but we love him anyway. Tonight Terry captured this photo of this sweet moment of the goose resting his head on the goat.

Moral of the story, everyone needs a friend and comfort …be kind.
