Sweet, fat berries grown locally at Sta-n-Step Farm in Tontitown are the star ingredient in this years batch of Kathleen. We recently brought home 100 pounds of these Arkansas jewels and plan to keep the beer stocked as fast as you’re drinking it—which is pretty fast. Bursting with real, sun-ripened Arkansas blackberries, Kathleen is back on tap. Named after Kathleen and David Tankersley who farmed and grew berries up the road from the brewery for 40-some years. They retired in 2024, but not before Kathy gave us her old sieve and wooden pestle that we use to process every batch of berries that go into our beer to this day. That old pestle is stained deep purple and the handle is as smooth as glass from decades of turning berries into juice, jam, or in our case, beer! Come and try a pour and taste the essence of an Ozarks summer.

We just closed out the biggest month we’ve ever had at Orthodox and we want to take a minute to say, thank you. We know it takes a little faith when you turn off the pavement and onto the county dirt road, but you’ve kept coming and we’ve kept brewing. We’re excited to share the summer together and make memories over a pint of our favorite seasonal releases—hello radler! Thank you and cheers!
