Woke up to 12 baby rabbits. Came home from church to two more litters. 28 babies so far!!! The kids are over the moon.

Looks like I caught her heat cycle just in time. I put this patch on yesterday, thank God! Now to track the cycle and AI her on the next one. 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽

Update on the ram - I’m pretty sure it was meningeal worm. I’ve been told once the damage is done neurologically, it doesn’t repair. He kept declining, going from standing and walking when I got him up to not being able to support his weight at all.
It was tough to cull him, but it was the right thing to do.

He’s mentally there. He is fighting to stay alive. Every chance he gets to be up, he’s walking and eating. His back left leg keeps buckling on him. I tried a homemade splint but it’s not doing the trick as I had hoped. I have a sliver of hope since he’s improved from yesterday where I couldn’t get him on his feet until the evening.
He’s the most alive sick sheep I’ve ever had. So I’ll keep fighting til I’ve exhausted my resources.

Farm life right now - moving the grazing group to their first day of spring grass, children chasing a toad, and my little guy helping to nurse the ram back to health.
It’s hard work no matter what way you slice it.
