Although we will still have many veggies for the next few weeks, today will likely be the last of our summer goodies. Come see us at today’s blustery market in GWL in stock up before tonight’s freeze. Seems like a great day to make soup. See you there 9 –1.

Tomorrow’s market in Greenwood Lake has been canceled due to the incoming storm. I will be setting up a small market tomorrow morning in the barn at my farm. If you’re able to come out and get your veggies, I would love to see you. Open 9–12, before the storm gets too bad. The address is 12 Indiana Rd., Goshen NY 10924.

So many tomatoes!!! Even though we are quickly approaching mid-September, the tomatoes haven’t noticed. Come out to Lakeside Market in Greenwood Lake on Saturday for these amazing tomatoes and so much more 🍅🎃🌶️🥕🥬🥒🍆🧄🧅

Tomatoes are still going crazy! Hoping to keep these beauties producing through the last market in October. So many amazing veggies heading to GWL tomorrow (133 Windermere ave) 9-1. See you there!

Even though we needed the rain, I feel a little bad for all the birds. They were loving the dry, dusty soil on the main roadway. They used the dry dirt to clean themselves. I would find little divots in the soil every morning where they would fluff out their feathers in the dust to clean themselves. I was fortunate to see them yesterday as they came as a group for the dust baths.

Even though our lettuce and a few other veggies have been suffering through the crazy weather, the corn has been going crazy. Come out tomorrow to get some delicious butter and sugar sweetcorn that has never been sprayed! We’ll be there 9 –1 with loads of summer veggies.

Due to a number of weather related supply issues (including this heat-stressed lettuce that is going to seed), J&A Farm will not be attending Florida farmers market for the rest of the season. I’m going to focus on tending to the crops and will have enough vegetables to supply our Saturday market in Greenwood Lake. Thank you for all that supported us each Tuesday and hope to see you Saturdays.
