💧WATER SOFTENER TIP 💧

Is your water softener not working like it should?

One of the most common reasons is a salt bridge.

This happens when the salt in the brine tank hardens or solidifies, preventing the softener from making the brine it needs to properly regenerate.

A few simple tips:

🧂Use salt crystals instead of pellets.

⬇️Add salt when the level gets low, but not completely empty.

⬆️Fill the tank around 1/2 to 2/3 full maximum.
There's no need to completely fill the tank.

If you notice the salt level isn't going down, check the brine tank. You may have a salt bridge or another brine-related issue

We recently helped a homeowner dealing with bacteria in their well water. A lot of companies will recommend installing a UV light right away, but we take a different approach we look for the source of the contamination first.

In this case, the well was buried below grade, and the pit around it was collecting standing water. That setup can let bacteria seep directly into the well.

Here’s what we did:
• Raised the well above grade to bring it up to code
• Eliminated the source of contamination
• Disinfected the system

Now they’ve got safe, reliable drinking water without relying on a temporary fix.
