When I started farming flowers, I told myself that I would always have gorgeous bouquets on my kitchen table. That doesn't always happen, but this morning I was able to put together this beauty. Our peony and lupine crops are limited this year as we wait for the plants to get bigger. Hopefully next year we'll be able to share these beauties with everyone.

But the wait for more flowers should be less than a month now! If you want a guaranteed, premium bouquet each month (June - Sept), we still have spots left in our subscription. We have pickup locations at our farmstand, the Gowanda Farmer's Market and the Springville Farmer's Market. Check out our website for more information and to order. If you have questions, send us a message!

Buddy tries to make friends with everyone, but this turtle wasn't having it. I rescued her so she could go on and lay her eggs on the edge of one of my rows. Hopefully we'll have baby turtles hatching in a few months!

The stand is open for the weekend! It has a variety of things: green garlic, ramps, rhubarb, asparagus, jam, dried flower bouquets, and little succulent pots. I also put out dried bunches of lavender, yarrow, and feverfew. Grown organically in our field last year (no sprays at all).

In addition, Farmer Autumn is selling lemonade until 2:30pm today and tomorrow she'll be out sometime around 9:30am until noon. Tomorrow's stand will also have ice tea (made from sun tea) and potentially cookies. 🍪 Stop by and see her!

THANK YOU to everyone that made the last week special. Those that ordered teacher or nurses' gifts, that stopped by to see us at the Springville Farmers Market, or that purchased flowers at the stand, Creekside Market, or Tammy's Unique Boutique. I once again am humbled by how much the WNY community values their local farmers.

This morning I woke up to what will hopefully be the last frost of the year. Once the rain clears out, it will be full steam ahead getting the rest of the field planted. Still to go in the ground: 75 pounds of potatoes, 100 tomato plants, and 550 dahlia tubers (along with hundreds of other vegetable and flower seedlings). Wish me luck!

With the gorgeous weather coming for this weekend, I'll have the farmstand open with a limited amount of goodies: asparagus, ramps, green garlic, rhubarb, jam, and our dried flower bouquets. Make sure to stop by as you're making your rounds of the area garage sales!

FREE FLOWERS! 💐

We held these daffodils in the cooler as an experiment, and now they need homes. Come grab them from the farm stand today or tomorrow (10331 Skinner Hollow Rd, Gowanda).

They are mostly in single variety bunches, so grab a few bunches to mix them up and make some gorgeous arrangements. We also have leftover tulip bunches in the stand. These are also free!

Vase life may be iffy, so these aren't the flowers you gift to someone you're trying to impress. But they will bring some beauty to your table for a few days! Look for the ones that are the least open to guarantee the best vase life. And note, freshly cut daffodils release a sap that reduces the vase life of tulips, so if you want to mix the two, don't recut the daffodil stems, or keep them separate for 24 hours after cutting, then combine.

Last chance to grab flowers for Mom!

When the flower flag is up at the end of our road, it means there are flowers in the stand. We're half a mile down from Broadway Road. Come grab a gorgeous tulip bouquet before they are all gone!
