hi! you may have noticed we’ve been a little quiet as farmers market season is ramping up. this year, for lots of reasons both for our farm business goals and personal needs, we made the really tough decision to not attend any farmers markets in 2026. this means that bittersweetly, we will not be in attendance at opening day of the Sturbridge farmers market this weekend.
Farmers markets were never a long term goal for the farm but we’ve loved so much of it which kept us coming back. We will miss the Sturbridge market that we have attended for three years so very much! We will miss our vendor friends, Simon’s social hour toddling along in the bubbles, our wonderfully loyal flower loving regulars who have kept us floating through the years, friendly farmers market dogs (AND cats), and introducing new market goers to the joys of local blooms. We’ve appreciated all of you so very much, more than words can say. And you can’t keep us completely away now that we can look forward to attending the market as customers this year!
Does this feel crazy to intentionally drop our primary source of farm income this season? uhhh yeah maybe a little! Instead we will be ramping up our Grafton farmstand, bulk DIY offerings, and wholesale to florists. (Speaking of, florists, help us out and send a message to get on our list!) We also have our dahlia CSA (of which you can reserve a share right now) and we’re considering some sort of lisianthus season CSA for the devotees (should we??).
Our SIXTH summer season as a farm is just beginning and we are excited to share so many flowers with you in a bit of a different way. We hope you’ll find your way to us through this change one way or another! Thank you for reading and for sticking with us! 💘
