Sorry I’m late, we’ve been busy farming. I forgot to post this draft a year ago. 😂
Ten years of dirt under our nails and a decade of Everhart Farm. 🎂
In 2015, we were just two kids in our early 20s with a mission that felt bigger than us. After losing close family members to cancer, “health” wasn’t just a buzzword, it became our north star. We looked at what was in the grocery store aisles and decided we wanted something better, something honest.
Neither of us grew up farming. Our only connection to the land was through great-grandparents we never got to meet, but whose blood clearly still called out for the soil. We’d like to think we’re making them proud today.
We didn’t take the easy route. Inspired by Joel Salatin, we committed to doing this regeneratively, ethically, and organically…or not at all. We’ve faced failed crops and long nights, but those failures were just the fertilizer for our successes.
The best part? This is the only life our daughters have ever known. Seeing them grow up connected to the rhythm of the seasons makes every struggle worth it. This lifestyle has directly shaped their personalities and I love their brave, caring, grounded, and well rounded souls. Here’s to 10 years of healing the land and feeding our community. We’re just getting started. 🥂
