A few days ago we lost Phoenix Rising Farm I'll Have Another ( S'mores). I knew I had some difficult decisions to make before winter on two of our older girls(15.5 and 14.5 years old). But S'mores took me by surprise, after getting diagnosed with cancer at 13.5 and being told I would have weeks to months with her. Smore was not like any other goat we had here. She was brought in to be part of the show herd which never turned out as a senior doe. From fertility issues to losing the one kid she ever produced in labor. She simply was a different goat when we brought in the sheep and became best friends with Pirate. She soon identified as a sheep after her mid life crisis and in her final days still made sure to keep the sheep herd in line. This fall has been full of loss but I made the hard decision of letting the old girls retire here on the farm.

To my soap customers I'm really sorry that I did not attend any craft fairs this fall and my inventory is extremely low. I have had a ton going on in my personal life but we hope to come back stronger in the future. The last couple years have been an absolute nightmare.

Yesterday we said goodbye to the goat that started it all for us. 5 Acre Farm Summer Sweet Emily 3*D LA 90. 6/27/2006- 11/20/2021. Emily was not only the foundation doe of the herd but has taught us so much. We have some daughters Marma, Milkey, Breezy to live on her name and a son Songbird.

This year has proved to be one like no other. We will not be at any craft fairs this year as most of them have cancelled. Please support your local farmers and businesses as we are all struggling right now. As we look to the future of the farm we will be offering a larger array of products in the coming year. Check back for updates on these when they become available. For this coming holiday season Please don’t forget about our Goat milk soap. We are currently in one store front and will ship as well.

As the last due dates arrive we have late kids coming!
Rebeka Acres Dakota is due this week.
Rebeka Acres Orange Marmalade and Rebeka Acres Autumn Breeze are due next week and Rebeka Acres Painted Daisy is due in August!

We have a surprise! After taking 2018 off from breeding we are expecting babies in 2019! Meet our new boy Monarch! We are excited to see what his genetics bring our herd.
