Drying the last of my lavender for the season. Grosso used for essential oil, sachets, soap, bath salts. I could have had more, but it’s so hard to cut it because I grow it around my different flower beds on the farm and I love to see it in bloom but honestly, I have so much that it wouldn’t even make a dent if I harvested a few plants, I am in the process of planting and growing more of this particular variety of lavender for essential oil.  I also grow royal velvet, Provence and Melissa. These are a culinary variety so can be used for tea, cooking and baking with.

Looking through some photos of moments on the farm. Feeling a little bit uninspired but it might just be because I’m fighting a little cold but looking at these pictures is a reminder of why I love what I do, but there are days that seem to just drag.

First batch of calendula for drying. I’m adding it to my tea mixes and for making a tallow balm for skin.

Reminder to all my city friends or friends and family with dogs, don’t walk them on pavement in this heat. Put dog booties or walk on grass. Paws will get burned.
