So I finally decided to start harvesting my herbs and other things I grow to dry and eventually make my own tea and herbal remedies. Today’s harvest is my chamomile! I will be plucking the flowers off the stems and drying only the flower heads.

Time to take the netting off my sunflower row. I have a rogue chicken that likes to get out so I had to protect them till they’re big enough to resist. They’re about 3 to 4 feet tall now so they’re really coming along. Pretty much did what I did last year which was loosen the soil tossed the seeds walk over them water them. Pray it all went well! I’m choosing not to w**d this year. Using them as a type of ground cover to keep the soil from being depleted by the sun. Did throw in some zinnia seeds that I saved from last year across the front so we’ll see if any of those pop-up.

Peonies starting to really make a show. A few varieties are not yet open. So pretty!
