ANDDA JuJu production awards came out for last year, and this is the first year we are a part of it. I ran out of time to submit all the does, but very happy with all of our girls. They did us proud even with going to all the shows we could get to, some requiring days at fairs, and back-to-back show fills. They still showed up to work. Although this year will be cut short as a much-needed vacation is needed, they are still on milk test until we decide it is time.

The ANDDA JUJU Awards requirements:
• Bronze Award: 750 to 999 lbs of milk OR 37.5 lbs of butterfat in 305 days or less.
• Silver Award: 1,000 to 1,249 lbs of milk OR 50 lbs of butterfat in 305 days or less.
• Gold Award: At least 1,250 lbs of milk OR 67.5 lbs of butterfat in 305 days or less.
• Platinum Award: Permanent Champion (ADGA GCH) or Master Champion (AGS MCH) plus either 1,250 lbs or more of milk OR 67.5 lbs of butterfat in 305 days or less.

I figured we would wait a few days to post the pictures and results, but why not make a short and sweet one to highlight who won those ribbons. We are very grateful and want to thank the show committee of The Udder Spectacular show. This is one of the biggest and toughest shows in the NW for Nigerians, and they made it run flawlessly. At least it seemed that way to us :)

Here are just the highlights, but we are very proud of all our goats as they all placed at the very top of their classes in all three rings We only brought 8 goats total.

🏆Senior doe Itrek Acres Jump for Joy was Grand Champion and Best of Breed as a 2-year-old 2F under judge Ed Jodlowski. She just needs one more leg to finish her.

🏆Senior kid Itrek Acres Whoop There It Is was Junior Champion and Best in Show under judge Ed Jodlowski.

🏆Senior kid Itrek Acres All Dolled Up was also Junior Champion and Best in Show under judge Cameron Jodlowski.

Really enjoyed seeing all the spectacular goats and all our friends. Congratulations to all the winners too!

Second show of the year in the books and it was a fun fuzzy show. I totally forgot to post the results of the fuzzy spring show at the Puyallup fair a few weeks ago, but that's okay. It was also a great show, that resulted in a couple of grand and reserve wins as well. We are so proud of our herd. We don't have a lot of senior goats in the show string anymore and are left to show with one 3-year-old, one 2-year-old, and one yearling milker for this year. However, all three were first place in their classes except one was second once.

🏆🥇The highlight of this show though was Itrek Acres La Vie Dorée, who was Champion Junior doe kid. She is our growthy AI doe kid that is stunning all around. She is absolutely a clown like her dam La Vie, which has already made her everyone's favorite.

Thank you Kitsap Dairy Goat show for putting on a show that ran smoothly once it got started. It allowed us to get back home and do the chores in the daylight! We loved seeing everyone and look forward to the next show in a few weeks.

I (Katrina) will try to keep this short. We have started off the year just rocking it, or at least it felt like it, only to find ourselves struggling with loss. Losing a goat has been devastating. Plus the additional feeling of being completely helpless as the vet and us did everything we could to save the doe kid. We are still hurting which is why the posts have slowed even though we basically concluded our kidding season.

That’s not why I am writing this post though. I want everyone to know just how wonderful and generous Don and Jena Williams at Urban Acres are. They put a smile back on my daughter’s face. They let her pick this beautiful blue eyed chami doe kid out all on her own so that she can start a new bond. There are no words to tell you how grateful we are. I feel so much love for breeders who go out of their way to help others, or even just be there for you when you need someone to talk to. There are not enough words to express how grateful we are. Thank you so much ~hugs~

Welcome to the herd 💜 Urban Acres W-BJT Violette 💜

She goes on family daily walks with us around the neighborhood and already fits right in. Pictures of the girls today.

This is the first time we have ever had all our kiddings bunched so close together. I am definitely not going to say it was easy. However, now that we only have a couple left until the end of kidding season for us, it's not so bad. A little sleep deprived but we made it. I am not sure where I left off on announcements so here are a few of the most recent ones.

Everyone is spoken for except for there is just one doe kid that I would love to go to a youth or 4-H kid and would be discounted if I can find one. Her picture and info are under the pictures. We did not take pictures of everyone. Mostly the keepers and some random.

***Deposit received***

Starbound DD Gambler *B is searching for a new herd. We have tried to put all his info on our website. Just need to get the buck pen numbers lowered. Really love the pedigree on this buck but just can't seem to fit him in with the direction we are going. We are letting him go without seeing his kids hit the ground.

He needs a name….

Since he was born on Super Bowl Sunday and we are big Seahawk fans here, we think it would be fitting to come up with a name that embraces that day. So far we have been calling him Blitz.
