☀️🐎😎 Summer Camp 2025! 🐓🌻🍉

We had a wonderful 3 weeks of camp this year. Horse time, tie dye, swimming in the pond, chicken snuggles, and many many games of hide and seek. We’re so thankful for our equine pals who make this all possible for the campers. They’re the real stars of the show! ❤️ Looking forward to next year!

We hosted our second annual “fun show,” this time competing in dressage! Our team has grown to 5 fantastic riders and everyone had a successful day. It was so much fun, I didn’t get many photos but here are a few! ☀️🐴❤️

Long Acres is joining forces with Vallie Hi Farm to provide a special early childhood learning experience for kids ages 1-4.

Are you in need of a small-group, nurturing, outdoor-based playschool option for your child(ren) next year? Look no further than the newly developed Vallie Hi Farm Playschool in Chapel Hill!

-Created and run by two best friends, mothers, farmers, and educators dedicated to holistic early childhood education (Alison Long and Chloe Witkin)

Today we hosted our very first “Fun Show” and it was a roaring success! The horses were so well behaved, the riders all did a fantastic job, and it was the coolest experience to host an event like this. Thank you to Catherine Suzanne Moore for her hard work making this happen and to all of her students and families that participated. We can’t wait to host another show!

Happy New Year from Long Acres Farm! 🎆🎉🥳
Wrapping up our busy year with Part 5 of the 2023 chronology on the farm 👩🏼‍🌾 Summer camp memories!!

1: The very first picture I took at camp this year was of children in a tree and I’m a fan

Part 3 of the 2023 “Year We Were Busy”-

1: When the weather turns warm, the garden hose goblin comes out. No one is safe, or dry.
2: Just a part of our fleet in a very successful hay production this year!
3: The magnificent spring storm brewing behind the farm
4: Mama’s fencing buddy
5: Getting some moments in on horseback with the future cowboy
6: We purchased Heart, our adorable quarter horse pony, in May to add to our lesson program. We are fortunate to have great equestrian friends to come try out the new horses on site
