Well in today’s world you read about young people not getting involved in agriculture. In fact there was an article in the New York Times this past week saying exactly that. The most important legacy is that of our children. Today our daughter Rebecca heard that she was accepted to Cornell to obtain her PhD in Cattle Nutrition.

Becky has worked extremely hard to learn, understand, and ultimately improve agriculture. We look forward to getting free cattle feeding advice for years to come!

So proud of both of our children, they both have the work ethic, education and passion for farming.

Always great to meet fellow cattle people NCBA CattleCon. Lots of new products and technology to take in. Big thank you to the crew at home to let us get away. Dad, Andrew and Patrick let us travel worry free. Next year we switch and they can come to Nashville. Awesome to see some past interns furthering the education and career development!

Just and update, all the 2025 halves are now sold. Thank you to the new and existing customers who purchased this am. We are taking orders for January 15th deliveries and beyond. So feel free to reach out whenever you are ready to be put on the schedule.

Thank you to all our amazing customers! We appreciate all your business and referrals, it is always so heartwarming to hear, from a new customer, that they were referred to us by an existing customer, thank you!
We have done our best to maintain our pricing at 2024 levels, but we need to increase them, to stay in business, as like for all of you, our costs continue to rise.
So effective January 1, 2026 we will be charging:
Half of beef $4.00 plus $1.10 in cutting and wrapping for vacuum sealed
Quarter of beef $4.25 plus $1.10 in cutting and wrapping
We will be updating our retail individual prices as well, look for the new pricing soon.
The good news is that we have 6 halves left in 2025 and we will take orders at existing prices on a first come first serve basis. This beef will be available on the farm immediately after 12/25/25.
For those who are awaiting boxes, we will package something and advertise here in late October, after we get through our fellow producer field day on the farm on October 11. If you are a fellow beef producer and are interested in attending, please don’t forget to RSVP by 9/26 so we can have the right amount of TVF brisket prepared!

Well no champion animals this year at state fair this year but they took a real hard look at 264 and her calf. They were correctly impressed with this 11 year old pair!

We did and do have a champion team both at the fair and at home! Thanks to Dad and Andrew for feeding and raising tremendous herd of Angus cattle, Natalie and Alysa for getting them ready to show. And to fair team Dr Tom, Rebecca, Patrick, Alysa and Sydney.
Thanks to all who have continued to support our quest, in small and large ways. Especially Karen, and Becky and Patrick who put up with me and all my crazy ideas.

Now, let’s finish the show barn and get ready for next year!

Happy Happy 13th Birthday to everyone's favorite greeter at Thunder View Farms!! Can't believe my little puppy is 13. While he's been a "grumpy old man" recently, we're hoping when it cools off in the fall he'll be out greeting our customers again (and his favorite person- the UPS driver!!!!

Our first bag on our new feeding pad! Thank you to the Watershed Ag Council and NYC DEP. Think about it, it makes so much sense, NYC funding programs that support economic vitality of the watershed and support family farms. Farmers were and are the first environmental stewards, our low density land helps keep our communities beautiful while protecting NYC’s drinking water. A win/win!

Well, it was the Fourth of July weekend, but that didn’t stop the TVF crew. We made nearly 2000 beautiful alfalfa bales despite the temperatures. Great job, Patrick, Andrew, Natalie, Alysa, Jacob, and of course dad.

Well it sure is hot enough, but the TVF Crew is doing amazing work. Long days are never fun but finally wrapping up first cutting, all cows bred and out on pasture, and halter breaking show cattle and seeded sorghum!

We have made up 15 boxes for sale. Each Box has the following
About
3.5 lbs brisket
4 lbs on London Broil
2 lbs of Kabobs
2 lbs of our ground beef

These 15 boxes ($100/each) are available for pickup by appointment, please use TVF page because we all can keep track better.

Thanks as always for supporting a local family farm. Lots of ground beef and 1/3 lb patties available at regular prices. $6.50/lb ground beef and $7.50 for patties.

Well thanks to the Big M and my mostly sleeping copilot, (Pongo) we mowed 80 acres of beautiful mix hay while the whole TVF crew got a well deserved day off.
