It’s almost like the predators know which birds are my most prized and they get them every time. This week they got my buff Sebastopol gosling. They took a bite from his leg to the flesh like they were snacking on some KFC . 😭😭 Fortunately he was alive and we’re doing our best to nurse him back to health inside in a small box where he can’t move much by his lonesome. He just got a like warm bath to wash the area and some sun to dry it off. Then he’ll get another wrap with medicated ointment and hope we wake up to more improvement in the morning. I just know if he makes a full recovery he’ll be so happy to be back with his mates.

We woke up to an early surprise! Turkeys still have five days until they were supposed to hatch but one is out and the other four are pipped. We’re hoping for a good outcome but the turner was still in and was supposed to be for another day or two and then one got a while carnival ride overnight. Wish them luck and love ❤️🦃
