USCA is disappointed in USDA's decision to move forward with reopening the southern border to Mexican cattle while significant risks to the U.S. cattle herd remain unresolved.
USCA believes border policy must be transparently guided by science-based risk assessments and on-the-ground capacity, with a continued focus on protecting herd health, ensuring transparency, and strengthening New World screwworm eradication efforts.
