5 days in to our 14 day trip in VA, and this is the extent of photos I’ve taken lol. None of our time at the beach, no photos of the dolphins we saw, the town were in, etc… I’d say I’ll be sad looking back, but the lack of photos is because I’m enjoying my time being present, sharing the active memories with the kiddos, or I’m sleeping lol (because it’s usually been a LONG day). Hopefully I’ll have some photos to look back on towards the second half of the trip, but for now, this is all you get for an update.

In preparation for taking a 2 week long trip, I pulled the rest of our carrots and cucumbers, along with a few other other things this week that I have 3 days to use or preserve…. Oh yea, and I had to share a greenhouse update. Every single plant is loaded with tons of tomatoes, so much so that a few (dozen… 🫣) have fallen off their supports and rooted into the ground.

When you leave for 5 days on a family trip, and come home to find the garden has EXPLODED. Time for some quick harvesting and making dinner plans based off what’s freshly picked. Tonight’s menu: pasta with fennel pesto, roasted radishes, and garden salad. Tomorrow: collard greens, coleslaw and Mac and cheese.
