First and foremost, I completely forgot about chicken p**p bingo until this weekend when someone said something. From the bottom of my heart I apologize to those of you that bought a spot for baby cow bingo and are patiently waiting for a winner from chicken p**p bingo.

Some of you may have noticed it’s been a bit quiet on the page. Life is crazy busy just like everyone else. The kids completed their first year at a new school. Sports. New cow pastures. A quick break before market. Dr appointments. Injuries. Award ceremonies. Market. Things we never thought would happen are now in the works as well. Bottom line, it’s a lot.

This spring we decided it was time to redo some fencing and apparently the cows decided to give us the push to get going we needed. One pasture got a face lift with several more to go. We switched from general field fence to the timeless fence posts and high tinsel wire and besides a learning curve and a few bruises we couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! Highly recommend.

Our land whale who we are patiently waiting to calf is still holding strong but showing promising signs of a birth soon. We pray it’s alive and healthy as she really is a great cow ❤️

Matt and I started a tradition a few years ago to go away for the weekend sometime before market to relax and reset before we really get into the thick of things. This year there wasn’t as much relax because the dogs went with us but we still got away, got to enjoy the break and of course I read a few books.

Our first market was this last weekend and we wanted to say THANK YOU to everybody who purchased from us, came to say hi or just stopped to ask about our products. We love getting to see everybody again and hear about all the ways you enjoyed your steak or what you used the dandelion salve for. It was a very successful market and we can’t wait to do it again!

As far as the “things we never thought would happen” project, you’ll have to stay tuned. There are BIG things in the works and we can’t wait to share it with you!

See this baby face?!? 😍

This is actually our Hereford Bull, Hank. Don’t let the baby face fool you, he still has his “man bits” and while his overall demeanor is incredibly kind, you don’t trust a bull.

We are so incredibly excited to see what his calves look like this year and are praying for his first baby on our farm in as early as June.
