As we said goodbye to our ducklings, we celebrated the start of their new adventures! With a successful hatch of 6 out of 8 ducklings this season, we're reminded of the joy and magic of life. If you're looking to expand your flock or experience the miracle of hatching, check back with us in the spring!

UPDATE: We can not go live!

I’m sorry friends, I did not know we needed to have a minimum of 100 followers to go live. We are still a new group page, we ask you share the adventure to help us reach tha goal.

We have a hatching happening and will update with a video. Please, if you have any questions or your kiddo’s have questions regarding ducks and life science please post them here and we will answer them. We apologize but hope soon to have the chance to go live for our next hatchings for you all to see! Stay tuned for the hatching video.

Egg development on our Indian Runner Ducklings at Creekside Quackers Hatchery.

We’re getting closer to hatch day! Our first batch of Indian Runner duck eggs is expected to hatch between November 13–15, and our second batch should arrive around November 18–23. 🐣

In this video, we’re checking on how our eggs are growing inside the incubator. You can see the air cell — that’s the little pocket of air at the fat end of the egg. It gives the duckling its very first breath just before hatching! As hatch day gets closer, we can see the shadow inside the egg getting bigger as the duckling fills more space and gets ready to meet the world. 💕

We’ll be going LIVE when we start seeing signs of hatching (like hearing tiny peeps or seeing the first cracks) and again when our ducklings finally break free from their shells!
