International Crop Expo

International Crop Expo Annual Farm Machinery Show and Agricultural Education Sessions held at Alerus Center in Grand Forks, North Dakota. This policy is still in effect today.

International Crop Expo (ICE) History - Planning for the first ICE began more than a year before construction of the Alerus Center was completed in 2001. Today planning for the ICE is an ongoing process with the ICE committee meeting monthly. ICE is a merger of the following educational programs with the Alerus Center.

•Soybean/Dry Bean – North Dakota State University Extension Servic

e – Grand Forks County
•Potato Associates of the Northern Plains Potato Growers Association
•Small Grains institute
•Alerus Center

Each group held their own educational sessions and small trade show prior to this merger. For equal representation, the ICE committee is made up of two members representing each of the programs. Each group conducts educational sessions that reflect immediate needs of the regions growers. The International Crop Expo is a unique blend of grower educational sessions and commercial trade show. The educational sessions draw people to the floor show while the floor show draws people to the educational session. After many unknowns going into the first show thirteen years ago, the annual attendance has grown to see 4000-5000 agricultural producers annually from across the region and Canada. It is currently the largest agricultural related show in the Northern Red River Valley and one of the largest annual agricultural shows in North Dakota.

WEATHER UPDATE
The International Crop Expo at Alerus Center will remain OPEN tomorrow, Feb 18, during its regularly scheduled hours.
Due to expected weather conditions, the Small Grains & Soybean morning seminars have been canceled.
The Potato seminars, keynote speaker, and trade show are still occurring as scheduled.
