Food assistance programs are OUR programs, and they’re still here for us.

Right now, we’re seeing the largest participation decline in SNAP in three decades. This time last year, 5,000 more people were connected to 3SquaresVT (Vermont’s name for SNAP). Caseload decline is only good news if people no longer need help. But we know food costs remain high and economic insecurity persists.

If you or someone you know is experiencing food insecurity, refer to this summer edition sheet and share it across your community as food is a necessity for everyone.

Tomorrow Saturday at St Joseph church in Grand Isle. The fresh pastas for this market are traditional tubetti, garlic scapes spaghetti, and sweet hearts 💛 I'll also have pasta salads, pesto, and fresh salsas. Market hours are 10-2pm.

Today Wednesday behind St Rose of Lima church in South Hero. The fresh pasta for this market is sweet pepper fettuccine. I'll also have cilantro pesto, pasta salads, and fresh salsas. Market hours are 3-6pm.
