I've always heard that spotting a praying mantis is a sign of good luck. Whether that's true or not, finding this little one while harvesting Bee Balm felt like a good reminder to slow down and appreciate all the life in the garden. 🌿💚 And to doube check I didn't bring any bugs inside with me. 😆

Zinnias last chance!
I know they don't transplant well but when my direct seeded rows popped up a whole 5 zinnias 😒 I knew I had to pivot, even if all my other transplants were toast 😬 I had this song stuck in my head last night as I prayed they'll survive 😆

Behind every flower garden are the plants that didn't make it. These seedlings looked so full of promise... until they weren't.
Gardening has a way of keeping you humble. You celebrate the wins, learn from the losses, and plant again anyway. 🌱

Lesson learned! Don't just think your perennials are strong enough to withstand the freezing temperatures - a little protection never hurts 😉
I will be covering my peonies in the coming years if the temperature drops below 30°F to ensure my beautiful blooms are protected properly 🌸
