Our Italian Family Style Dinners is honestly one of my favorites events that we do! It’s a chance for me to put my chefs hat on, and invite you to enjoy some real homemade Italian food like I grew up with. It’s a chance to share what meals felt like growing up. A chance to talk and laugh around good wine and good food.
We usually sell out both evenings a month or more in advance, but this fall dinner still has openings for both evenings. So grab a friend. Grab your spouse. Or grab yourself. And come be a part of the family for an evening!

Trying out some new recipes for our upcoming Italian Family Style Dinner.
I love mixing recipes from when I grew up, from the classic Italian cooking book I have and new ones that just sound fun. Like this one where you cook the pasta half way in water then finish cooking it in reduced red wine. It was pretty delicious!
So any recipe ideas out there?
Also, if you haven’t gotten your tickets yet, you can follow the link in our bio. It’s an evening of food, wine, conversation and friends both old and new. An evening on the patio surrounding one large table, enjoying a meal like we did back in New York… loud, lots of food, and memories made.

Wondering what our Twilight Tables dinner looks like?
To truly understand the beauty of the evening, combined with the food and wine, you will just have to come and see for yourself! This Saturday is our last Twilight Tables for the year and we’ve pulled out all the stops for this menu.
- Charred Olathe sweet corn salad with bison NY steak
- Shush kabobs featuring Jackalope sausage and beef tenderloin, twice baked potatoes and Okagawa vegetables
- Elk tenderloin deglazed with Mafia Princess Wines Tommy Gunner, served with wild rice
- The Chimney Sweep, hoticecafegj ice cream, dusted with espresso and topped with vermouth
Trust me when I say it’s a night you don’t want to miss! There’s still time to buy tickets by doll the link in our bio, but hurry, you only have until noon tomorrow.

Bird nets are the worst!
By far my least favorite task of running our own vineyard, but very necessary. Birds can decimate an entire vineyard in a matter of moments. Last year we invested in new bird nets and are using them for the first time this year. A new implement built by Casey, and helpers that aren’t as little as they used to be, has made this task less dreadful than previous years.
Still my least favorite thing, but at least it’s tolerable and protecting the vines from birds is a most.

The grapes are looking beautiful this year!
While we’ve had some struggles this year with an early freeze and a small hailstorm, this year’s grapes are looking and tasting great. And after losing our crop to hail last year, we couldn’t be more excited! It’s still early in the season for us as best guessing puts harvest at least two weeks out… personally I’m hoping for more like four weeks out, but it’s not up to me.
In the meantime, the weather is looking amazing for this Saturdays Twilight Tables. This is our last summer dinner and we want to see you there! We are leaving ticket sales open until Friday, but the sooner you get yours the less likely you’ll miss out, as we do have limited seating.
So join us as we say good bye to summer and hello to the change of season. With this, our last, late night dinner under the stars.
