Fruit Basket We are a family-run u-pick orchard and fruit stand in Western Colorado. We grow apricots, apples, cherries, grapes, nectarines, peaches, and plums.

Welcome to Fruit Basket Orchards, the only full-service U-Pick orchard in Colorado's Grand Valley. Our motto is “pick, eat, repeat” and if it grows on our property, we’ll let you pick and take it home. We grow a little bit of everything, including all your favorite stone fruit (peaches, sweet cherries, tart cherries, nectarines, apricots, plums), raspberries, plus 18 varieties of apples. We also grow table grapes, and a few pears. We strive to provide the highest quality fresh fruit and products, excellent service and a fun, safe and educational experience. Hello everybody,

This week plums, peaches, apples and grapes will be available. We still have peaches and grapes for u-pick. Apples have all been picked, but we will have several varieties available in the store including speciality apples like Granny Smith and Northern Spy; there aren’t many of either of these so come early if you want some. Several other varieties are also available in the store for purchase. There will be sourdough bread again this weekend. For all the above items it is while supplies last.

The season is winding down and this maybe our last weekend to be open.

Hello everybody,

This week plums, peaches, apples and grapes will be available. Apples and peaches are ready for picking.
You pick apples include Red Chief, Super Chief, there are still a few Jonagold and Rome. The peaches on the trees are still a little firm but we will let those pick them that want them.

A wide variety of apples will be available in the store, including: Golden Delicious, northern spy, Red Delicious, Red Chief, Super Chief, Granny Smith and Roman Beauty.

Grapes are not as plentiful but are still on the vine and ready to be picked. The concords look pretty good, but small.

As always, lots of good stuff in the store. Freshly made jam will be available, honey, dried peaches and sourdough bread.

Hello everybody,

This week there are apples and grapes waiting to be picked or purchased in the store. There is still one variety of peaches on the trees but they are not ripe. It is anticipated that last variety will be ready to go the weekend of Sept 25 and 26th. We will let you know.

A wide variety of apples will be available in the store, including: early Fuji, Cortland Golden Delicious, Red Chief (Red Delicious), Cameo, and Empire.

You pick will include Super Chief, Red Chief, Jonagold, and Cameo. At last check the Roman Beauties were still green.

There are grapes on the vine and ready to be picked. The concords look pretty good.

As always, lots of good stuff in the store. Freshly made jams will be available, honey, dried peaches and sourdough bread wil.

Hello everybody,

There are apples, peaches, and grapes waiting to be picked or purchased in the store. This will be a winding down for the peaches and all the apples are not ripe yet.

For the peaches, Gloria will be on the trees for picking and JH Hale will be available in the store. We should have peaches this weekend and next, that might about finish them for the season.

You-pick apples will include: early Fuji, some Cortland and Empire. We will check the reds, Granny Smith, and Roman Beauties Friday to see if they are ripe and ready to pick.

Hello to all,

Fresh apples, peaches, grape and elderberries; what more could you want for your Labor Day barbecue. Fruit season is in full swing.

There will be two varieties of peaches for picking, JH Hale and Gloria, with another variety, Cresthaven, in the store. You-pick apples will include three to four varieties: Early Fuji, some Golden Delicious, some Cameo, and Cortland, depending on availability.

As stated last week, grapes continue to ripen and should be available until the first freeze, this is also true with the elderberries.

There is a lot going on in the orchard so come out and get some fresh fruit.

Hello to all,

It is fruit season! I’ve been asked about specific types of fruit, unfortunately, most fruit is ahead of schedule and that makes it a little difficult to predict. But for now I know peaches, apples, grapes and elderberries are all on. There will be two or three varieties of peaches for picking. Apples include at least three varieties: Macintosh, Gala, and Honeycrisp. I was asked if there will be apples in mid-September, the answer to that should be yes!

Several people have asked about Elberta peaches, they are on and they are as tasty as ever.

Grapes continue to ripen and should be available until the first freeze. Concords are not on but some have picked them anyway. I will check them again Friday to see if they are ready.

Hello to all our fruit lovers,

It is that time of the year when several varieties of fruit are available to be picked or purchased in-store.

Apples, elderberries, grapes and peaches are all on.

It is a little early for apples but they are here and they are juicy and sweet. Two varieties will be designated for picking, Gala and Honeycrisp.

Grapes have started to ripen and should continue until the first freeze.

Different varieties of Peaches continue to be come on. There will be several varieties available this weekend for u-pick and in the store.

Freshly made jams will be available. Honey, dried apples, dried peaches, and other good stuff will also be available. Unfortunately, no sourdough bread this weekend, our baker will be out a few weeks.

Hello everybody,

Peaches are on and look great. There will be several varieties available this weekend for u-pick and in the store.

Freshly made jams will be available. Honey, dried apples, dried peaches, sourdough bread and other good stuff will also be available.

As a reminder there is a new irrigation system, be careful not to step on the black pipe or sprinklers and the trimmings from pruning were mulched, leaving lots of partially mulched sticks. Protect your toes with closed toed shoes.
