After 7 years we are making the difficult decision to close our downtown location. We have learned a ton and met some amazing people. While we would love to stay due to ongoing health struggles I have decided to close our downtown space to focus on family and fermentations.
The 7 years we were a part of the downtown community I have learned a number of things. Some were great like “Commercial” landlords can be awesome amazing people and turn into friends. Some were tougher like we aren’t just opening 1 more location we are also doubling the challenges faced by small business day in and day out. Many weeks I found myself doing more driving back and forth between stores than anything else. I’m hoping this change will allow me and the team to focus on the thing that drew me to the business in the first place “the w**e”.
We are still around until the end of October. We all love Natalie and this will be her last week. She is moving on to Community hospital which is a place I have become very familiar with. They are lucky to be getting her on their team. Come help us wish her well on her new adventure this week. She will be in Tuesday-Friday. Moving forward we will have some abbreviated hours and probably some deals on w**e and other fixtures we would rather not move.
That being said we are still going strong at the w**ery. We have had a great harvest. Matt and Ben have been doing some new w**es as well as some Oldies but Goodies. Not only to we have new w**es fermenting but a few new w**es ready to release as well. My gut tells me we will have another location again in our future when life slows back down a bit. Until then we will focus on family and making the best w**es we can. We hope to see you out at the w**ery. Cheers to 7 years!
