This month we are rounding up for Arrowhead Animal Rescue! AAR goes above and beyond to make sure the stray pets of Cook County are loved, cared for, and find places to call home. 🥹❤ Thank you AAR!

The co-op turns 50 this year!!!! Isn't that wild?! Thank you to founding members, current owners, shoppers, volunteers, tourists who stop in, and past & current employees, and board members. We can't wait to see what the next years (not to mention the next 50) bring. The cooperative grocery movement boomed in Minnesota in the 70s and has helped advocate for better food, better environmental practices, and better labor practices across the country. Everyone deserves to know where our food comes from, what's in it, how it got to us, and that every step of the way the people involved were treated well & paid fairly. We've had A NUMBER of locations across Grand Marais and Good Harbor Hill (which one was your favorite? let us know in the comments) and are so thankful to be at home in historic downtown Grand Marais on the lovely east bay of Lake Superior. How many grocery stores have a lake view?! Again, to everyone who's been with us along with us for the last 50 years - thank you, thank you, thank you.

Owners: join us to celebrate our 50th at our annual meeting! (YES there will be cake, cookies, and ice cream - thanks to the Co-op Deli, Crosby Bakery, and Superior Creamery). It will be held on Weds, Oct 21 from 5-7pm, at North House Folk School in the Blue Building. Treats to start then business meeting...then more treats!

This month we are rounding up for Great Expectations School's Great Lunch program. As a reminder, 100% of your round up money goes directly to each organization! You can round up to the next dollar, or round up to $100 per transaction.

We 💘 the VPC! Thank you to all who round up at the register. Every penny goes towards the organization.

We just need to say a huge THANK YOU to the Cook County Co-op ! Because of their partnership and continued support their round-up raised the Violence Prevention Center nearly $4,000!!

Every cent goes directly towards client services in Cook County. We cannot thank the Co-Op enough, thank you for believing in us and investing in our community. 💜🩵
