South Thurston County Community Food Network

South Thurston County Community Food Network A collaboration between markets, farmers, and tribes to make locally grown food accessible.

To start the community dialogue between markets (and other associations) about what a community food network looks like and how we're going to do it, in order to increase community accessibility to locally grown, farm fresh food, decrease the environmental impact of an unsustainable food system, and to begin protecting our community's food security in the face of climate change.

✅New homesteaders learning new skills
✅ Skills Education Thru Assistance

We provide -
✅ A consistent shopping experience across markets
✅ Curbside pick up
✅ The employee structure without having to hire employees
✅ Infrastructure for local food networking
✅Multiple market representation

- Increase local food accessibility to average families.
- Food consistency independent of largerl issues, such as passes closing, flooding, or fires.

I can't announce anything yet, but the team is expanding and there's now a few people dedicating a few hours a month to this project. We're nowhere near prepared from launching, but it's never to early to start the discussion.

If you are also interested in dedicating a few hours a month, host a canning party (next year), have more apple trees than you can' process, etc. Let me know. Give a like, give a follow.

I'm so upset!!

I am just NOW finding out that all of my posts have been suppressed!

I have been sharing local producers and businesses this WHOLE time.

But that little lock? Nobody can see it. The page looks empty to you all. 😣😣

There's something about how "pages" can share information, vs groups, and I'm not very techie.

So that sucks. I've been here the whole time.
