Last week we had the incredible opportunity to be a vendor at the John Ball Zoo annual fundraiser Rendezoo: The Ripple Effect. The event supports the John Ball Zoo mission to inspire the community to be actively engaged in the conservation of wildlife and natural environment 🌊

We had a very unique spot right by the zoo entrance across from the brand new otter exhibit. A steel drum band played nearby and were so fun to listen to! We had probably the busiest night ever serving almost 400 taiyaki over four hours. It was such an honor to be invited and privilege to serve our waffles to supporters of this wonderful cause. The event was truly one to remember and we hope to be back in the future 🦦

Happy Memorial Day weekend everyone! We are kicking off our busy season with THREE events this weekend. First, we make our first appearance of the season at Food Truck Fridays on Friday from 5-9pm. Second, we celebrate our One Year Van-niversary with a special party Saturday night from 5-8pm. Lastly, we are back at the Q***r Art Mart again this year on Sunday from 1-4pm. A big thank you to and for having us! We can’t wait to have a long waffle summer with you all 😻

Neko Taiyaki will be at the .and.makers Grand Rapids Spring Market at Fulton St Market on Sunday 5/17 from 10am-3pm. The event will feature 120+ talented local makers, live music, and delicious food trucks! Admission is just $3 cash/card at the door for adults. Kids are free so bring the whole family! Pre-orders are open now for our summer merch drop! We are beyond excited to bring back totes (in a new jumbo size) and our favorite comfort colors t-shirts both printed by our friends 😻

The brand new design is hand drawn by our friend as a reference to the 90s anime style from Akira Toriyama. He was made famous by Dragonball Z and Chrono Trigger. Anyone familiar with his work? 😼

Save $5 on t-shirts by placing a pre-order now until Sunday 5/31. Pre-order price is $23. After that, t-shirts will be $28. We will have size S-2XL available. Tote bags are $20. As always, FREE local pickup from the food truck at an event or shipped directly to your door 😺
