The Mediterranean Island is not only an international foods store but a community center for hundreds of people in the west Michigan area. Folks of all nationalities and ethnicities visit The Mediterranean Island daily to pick up their favorite foods from back home. Since opening in 1997, The Mediterranean Island has quickly developed into the largest international import store on this side of the

state, with specialty food items from all walks of life! Whether you’re searching fresh baked, authentic Ethiopian Injera bread, delicious German chocolates, or a wide selection of kosher and halal meat, The Mediterranean Island will be sure to provide all you’re looking for (and possibly more)! We welcome people of all backgrounds to join us at The Mediterranean Island to indulge in culture, food, and most importantly, community— oh, and of course some fresh falafel.
