Happy June, and happy Pride Month! 🌈

Please join us tomorrow and every Tuesday in June at at 6 am for intros and info, a group pic, and then some movement with your friends. We have a 3 mile running route at your own pace and a 1.5 mile group walk. Afterwards, regroup for community announcements, an optional extra 2 mile run, and coffee/treats/community at Rise!

Juneuinely excited to be going back to all June!

If you’re just getting to know us, we rotate locations monthly. We have many wonderful coffee shop and bakery host partners, and June’s host has been a longtimer.

We’ll post this month’s routes and other details on Monday with our regular Monday post. (Though we remain on the West Side in June, we will run different routes!)

Watch for more then but mark your calendars for Rise in June, starting next Tuesday, June 2, at 6am: Global Running Day Eve!

LSRC MAY MILE X AFTER DARK

Join the fun for a double header on Friday, May 29th:

Pt I: May Mile
• Time trial a track mile for fun, and/or cheer your friends on as they rip some laps around the track
• Multiple heats for all speeds
• Start, timing, and measuring will be more official than usual (iykyk)
• Our 6th annual May Mile
• Briggs Park Track (entrance at the corner of Lafayette and Dean)

Pt II: After Dark
• Chilling/ice cream with the crew
• Frosty Boy (1757 Plainfield Ave NE)
• Purchases optional, hang out regardless
• Timing: we'll walk over whenever mile heats are done; last call is at 8:30

Join us for either or both. Run hard then/and/or soft serve. New friends and significant others, kids, etc. are more than welcome. We do these monthly After Dark events to be approachable besides Tuesdays at 6am.

Post-holiday Tuesday crew closing out May strong! It’s been a fun month ; thanks to their team for hosting us for five weeks. (Watch this account for info about our June location.)

One more thing this month: our monthly After Dark social is a two-parter this Friday, May 29: 1) May Mile at 7pm at Briggs Park, and 2) Frosty Boy ice cream after that (last call is at 8.30). For our folks who can’t regularly make early Tuesdays, come on out for either or both! More details in the separate post.

Today’s Tuesday tip: basic, but bring good vibes along on your runs around people. Not every run is fun, and rage runs certainly have their place and time, so this is not about false positivity. It’s about, where possible, making the pursuit attractive to the curious and welcoming to newcomers. Nothing y’all don’t already know and practice but keep it going :)

Briefly interrupting your holiday Monday to remind you: tomorrow’s Tuesday and will be out there!

Join us for our last week on Fulton to kick off the short week. We have our regular 3 mile run as well as 1.5 mile walk at 6am. You’re also welcome to show up around 6.45 for a two mile run or to get coffee and socialize.
