Fenway Park opened on April 20, 1912 — five days after the Titanic sank. Let that sink in for a second.
We took the exclusive 8am field access tour, which puts you on the warning track before the park opens to anyone else. Standing on that field, knowing the history that's played out between those foul lines — Babe Ruth, Ted Williams, Carlton Fisk's '75 World Series home run, and four more championships since — was genuinely moving, even for someone who's visited a lot of ballparks.
The tour also takes you up to the Monster seats, atop the Green Monster, through the Royal Rooters Club with its World Series rings collection, and to the press box where a famous scene from Moneyball was filmed. Oh, and Jimmy Buffett played Fenway. Of course he did. 🎵
We've written up everything — what each tour option costs ($20 to $75), what to expect, what we loved, and where we felt the access fell short compared to other stadium tours we've done. Honest review, full details.
