The Grand Opening for Dave’s Hot Chicken in Grandville is October 9, 2026 per the owners.

I was able to get in and get a sneak peek of the restaurant. SPICY AF!!!

People are excited by crab Rangoon’s and especially the prospect of finding some that are made with the actual CRAB vs. KRAB.

Build your own ramen 🍜 has been a hit trend for a while with a national chain in Grand Rapids sporting 2 different locations, but a local place in Holland called Falam just opened their doors.

I was actually seeking out crab Rangoon when I came across these guys, and they have that as well. If you are looking for a new twist on a household favorite, check this out.

They are attached to the Kings Cove party store in Holland

STUBBURN BBQ. Including today, they have only five Sundays left in their BBQ season. Stubburn BBQ is open from noon until 4pm or until they run out of food every Sunday until the end of October.

My first visit to the Acrisure Amphitheater. Devo and the B52s were awesome. Seriously better than people have their age.

The food, which is that thing I do, was predictably average at best. When going to a concert venue I don’t expect that the food is going to be stellar so I was hopeful, but not surprised.

It turns out that the amphitheater food is an endorsement for our local downtown restaurants. So, Eat local at a restaurant before the concert and then go to the concert.

The amphitheater itself was pretty impressive.

Azul Agave. Brand spanking new and the hottest new ticket in Forest Hills. They are located in the old Marco new American bistro location. They have updated the decor and put their own fingerprint on the place.

they have only been open a few days and have already received a very positive reception from the neighborhood.

For years, everybody has been telling me to go up to Fremont and try Spanky‘s breadstix. I finally found a reason to go up there.

The breadsticks were definitely unique, and people go wild for these!
