Alger Heights is amazing year-round, but summer is a special time when our neighborhood really comes alive.
Dogs being walked. Kids on bikes. Neighbors lingering a little longer outside. Heights Cream runs. Patio dinners at Brass Ring, Sip and Old Goat. Quick hellos that turn into conversations.
You see people grabbing a cone, meeting friends for dinner or drinks, having playtime at Giggles & Gourmets, grooming their fur babies at Posh Pet, picking up plants and sundries at Ken’s pop-up greenhouse, relying on Alger Hardware for every DIY project, leaving dance class at Over The Top, stopping by JB’s for pizza, shopping at Reinspired Treasures, taking home lunch or dinner from Making Thyme, or simply enjoying the act of being out and about.
A good reminder that what makes neighborhoods special isn’t just the places themselves. It’s the people inside them and the small businesses that create spaces for connection every single day.
Here’s to neighbors, neighborhood businesses and communities that feel like home ❤️
Cheers to another amazing summer in Alger Heights.
