Our first honey harvest 🍯🐝 these young hives gave us over 50 pounds of capped honey, a deep amber color with a wonderful taste. Now that the honey is harvested, the bees have the rest of the summer to gather their food and build comb for winter. If all goes well, we will be splitting hives in the spring!

A month in the making... Goat's milk soap!! 🧼 If anyone remembers a story I posted saying I was "working on something", this test of patience is finally ready. Cold processed using our own goat's milk, organic coconut oil and non-gmo olive oil. These soap bars are highly moisturizing and are much softer than traditional soap bars. They almost feel like a lotion, I love it. My goal is to make clean skin care, with these being made wholesome ingredients and no added essential oils, just the natural oils from dried herbs I feature. I have three kinds available now: plain (regular soap), oatmeal, and lilac from my spring flowers.

Fresh goats milk incoming 🤤 now that a few of our girls are getting milked, my husband built me a little stanchion! As we wait for milk culture test results, I'm collecting what I can for future piglets and baby goats, storing it in the freezer for next breeding season.

This spring I hatched my very first ducklings. Runner ducks have easily become my favorite. They've got goofy personalities and look so cute romping around the garden. These babies all went to wonderful new homes in the area (I couldn't help but keep two 🤭) I look forward to next springs hatching 😍
