Came out this morning to feed breakfast and she birthed a total of 3 piglets. One we found dead by mommas head. Momma was able to break the sack but we are assuming it may have been born dead. Overall a bit disappointing but feeling blessed that at least we have 2 healthy piglets new to our farm.

We are still at 2. How many do y’all think she will have? First litter she had 7.

We are having a big day today. 128 chicks arrived this morning. Thank you Windy Meadows Hatchery. Looking forward to seeing how these grow out.

We had a lot of sunflowers coming up. So before letting it go to seed and get really thick we decided to mow. We want to give the grass a chance to grow back in. We did get a bit of rain in the middle but that’s how it goes sometimes. Here are some before and after photos.

6-weeks old. Momma still in really good shape. Trying to decide whether to wean now at 7 weeks or at 8 weeks.

It’s been a bittersweet 3 days on the farm. 💔 We are heartbroken to have lost one of our new lambs, but we want to share a bright spot: his brother is doing wonderfully! 💪🐑 He’s strong, active, and eating well. Thank you for all the supportive messages as we navigate this tough week.
