As we wind up beekeeping and harvesting honey this season in the "high country", I am thankful for some of the best honey I have ever seen this year. Sourwood was not as plentiful as some other years - due to weather - but it sure is beautiful and the flavor is the best I have ever had. The ladies (hundred of thousands of honeybees!) moved back home today from a busy few weeks! Tiger Tail Farms has been providing pollination services for Molly Chomper Hard Cider in Lansing NC. You can see from these photos, we moved 5 bee hives in two sets to various areas around their apple orchards to pollinate thousands of apple trees they use to make Apple Cider! If you live in NC - check out your favorite local brewery and more than likely they will have some Molly Chomper Hard Cider on tap! It is a great product, and the pride of Ashe County! Support your local business, and support honeybees in the process!
