Bourbon barrel honey garlic chicken thighs 🤤

I used Mahoney Farms boneless, skinless chicken thighs, Countryside Acres Honey bourbon barrel honey, and garlic from Garlic Girl Farm! We still have some chicken thighs and honey in stock, but it goes fast so make your order our website soon. I was so excited to find someone local who grows chemical free garlic! It’s really aromatic and super delicious. She’s located right in Manhattan, IL, and you just send her a message to make your order and schedule a pick up time. I’m going to make garlic confit with fresh crusty bread next, I can’t wait!

🚨We are excited to announce for the first time ever we have Pasture-Raised Beef in stock!! We have teamed up with Father Farms in Grant Park, IL to help us supply our customers with high quality beef. They take pride in growing their animals, and you can taste the difference.

We have many steaks, roasts, 1 # & 2 # ground tubes, and 1 # primal ground available now!! We will also have whole, half, and quarter cows available for purchase in the future. We are doing our best to get the online store updated to show all beef products for sale, but for now you are more than welcome to make an appointment and shop in person. This is Hershey, AKA Hershey Kiss. She is a Black Copper Marans hen who lays a rich chocolate brown egg every couple days. She’s perfectly happy to follow me around, and she quietly clucks at me when I catch her. She’s super sweet 🥰

Check this out!! The pumpkins on the left came from a neighbor’s farmstand, and the pumpkin on the right came from Aldi. Not sure why, but our chickens only wanted the farmstand pumpkins. You can even see our rooster Maverick checking out the store bought pumpkin before he walks away. Makes you wonder… Support your local farmers and small businesses!! Happy Tuesday, everyone! Meet the Flock…

This is Bells (short for Silver Bells) AKA Bossy Bells. She is a Silver Laced Wyandotte hen who lays a beige/light brown egg at least every other day. We have about 450 chickens in our flock, and she is *high* up in the pecking order! She struts around wherever she wants, and the other chickens move out of her way. She even expects me to move out of her way 😆 She is docile and will walk right up to you, but she’s got a sassy streak that makes her so fun to interact with.

Fun fact, Silver Laced Wyandottes were originally bred in Wisconsin, and they do exceptionally well in the cold weather we get in IL. This breed is also known to be excellent foragers, and Bells in particular loves the grasshoppers out in the pasture. Everybody say hi to Bells! 👋🏻🐓

Freezers are full with ground turkey(limited), turkey legs, whole Thanksgiving Turkeys pre sale(limited), whole chickens, boneless/skinless breast, boneless/skinless thighs, bone in thighs, wings, drums, hearts, livers, feet, and soup bone backs. All pasture-raised, Non-GMO fed, and USDA inspected meat.

Countryside Acres Spring, Summer, and Fall seasonal honey available, along with hot honey, bourbon barrel aged honey(limited), and many flavors of creamed honey.

You can call/message to make an appointment to come by or try our new online store to purchase your items and set a day for pickup. Thank you to all our loyal customers, we appreciate you so much for supporting your local farmer. This is our last round of pasture-raised chicken for 2026. 😊🐓🦃
