On the farm, we invite you to linger.

The sun settles behind the fields, glasses catch the last golden light, and conversations stretch across the table as day gives way to dusk.

This is Dine on the Land.

A gathering rooted in the season, where each course tells the story of the farm, each seat becomes a connection, and every sunset reminds us why slowing down matters.

Join us at the table this season for an experience that nourishes more than hunger.

Because some meals are meant to be remembered long after the last bite.

Rain doesn’t cancel Thursday at the farm. It simply lets the barn have its turn.

After 11 seasons of farm + table, we’ve learned that hospitality cannot depend on perfect weather. We’ve worked to build beauty into every corner of this place — the barn, the barn lounge, the shop, the patio, the paths, the gardens, the gathering spaces — so that wherever the evening lands, it still feels like Locavore.

This Thursday, if the weather nudges us indoors, it will not be a consolation prize. It will be a farm gathering with a little hoe-down twist: music in the barn, drinks in hand, summer food on the table, and that warm, come-as-you-are kind of beauty that makes a rainy night feel like a gift.

This week’s menu:

Pork Tacos
Slow-smoked pulled pork on warm flour tortillas with chimichurri, cotija, fresh herbs, and grilled turnip + greens relish.

Smoked Beef Burger Sliders
Two smoked beef sliders on pretzel buns with fried green tomato, garlic pesto aioli, and greens.

Humintas Cornbread + Turnips & Greens
Sweet corn cornbread with creamed corn, mozzarella, cinnamon, anise, and a touch of ají, served with turnips and greens.

Smoked Mac-n-Cheese Cup
Creamy, smoky, and made for a Thursday night.

Strawberry + Peach Crumble Cup
Summer fruit tucked under a buttery crumble topping and served in a sweet little cup.

Thursday Harvest Hang Details
When: Thursday, 6–10 PM

Music: Molly Adamson
Where: Locavore Farm

If the skies are kind, we’ll be outside. If the rain comes, we’ll gather in the barn.

Either way, there will be beauty here.

Supper Club was never meant to be a dinner.

It’s our excuse to create an inner circle.

A place where we can know our guests by name, learn their stories, uncover their favorite foods, family traditions, gathering memories, and then quietly weave those details into an evening designed just for them.

This past Friday, that meant an Italian Garden Dinner tucked into the Cottage Gardens. We harvested greens, onions, garlic, and herbs just hours before guests arrived. Together they became herb oil for black pepper sourdough, a garden panzanella, and chive blossom vinaigrette gathered from the farm.

Earlier in the day, the weather threatened our plans. So we did what Supper Club allows us to do—we pivoted.

Instead of moving hundreds of guests, we carried the table into the Cottage, the farm’s original 100-year-old Sears kit home known as the Grant Model. Candles flickered. Wine flowed. Stories surfaced. Strangers became friends.

That’s the rule of Supper Club: go where we could never take 100 guests. Dream up menus, spaces, and experiences that only work because the gathering is small. Create moments that cannot be replicated with a crowd.

For the Farmer Joneses, it’s a return to the kind of hospitality we love most—deeply personal, warmly welcoming, and centered around genuine connection.

Our next Supper Club gathers July 10 at 7 PM. Link in comments.

We already know where the table is going.

A place you would never guess.

Just 14 days until the tables are set, the glasses are raised, and another season of Dine on the Land begins.

We’re thrilled to welcome Chef Adam Allison and his team back to the farm for another unforgettable evening under the open sky. Adam’s bold Southwestern cooking—rooted in fire, flavor, and a deep sense of place—finds a natural home alongside the warmth and generosity of Midwest hospitality that defines every gathering at Locavore.

Together, we’ll celebrate the season the best way we know how: around a long table, surrounded by growing fields, good company, and food that tells a story.

The countdown to opening day is on, and we can’t wait to share what’s ahead.

We harvest what is ready, pack the farm boxes with the best of the garden, then build Thursday’s menu from the abundance that remains.

Green tomatoes. Fresh herbs. Peaches. Peppers. Smoke. Fire. Summer.

This is what Thursday Harvest Hang is really about — good food grown the right way, the rhythm of the land, and a weekly pause from the hustle to honor what matters most.

Come eat from the garden, linger on the farm, and celebrate the good things growing.

Reservations open for Thursday.

The gardens are beginning to hit their stride.

Rows filling in. Harvests getting heavier. Summer finally settling into its rhythm.

Tune in tomorrow as we head into the gardens for this week’s harvest and prepare for Thursday at Locavore Farm.

Thursday Harvest Hang is wide open this week — plenty of room to grab a table, enjoy live music, order dinner from the farm kitchen, and settle into an evening outdoors.

And just beyond the vegetables, beneath the trees and tucked among the flowers, this is where we’ll gather Friday evening for our next Locavore Supper Club dinner.

An intimate table. Seasonal food. Thoughtful hospitality. A slower way to spend an evening.

Only two seats remain for Friday’s Supper Club.

Thursday for the casual side of Locavore.
Friday for something a little more curated.

We’ll save you a seat. 🌿🍷🍽️
