July was a busy month for us. Megan and Caroline went to Madison for a week for Simmental Jr Nationals and the following week they went to Waconia MN for their summer classic.

While they were out beef showing Jim stayed home with Hannah and the boys to hold the farm down and make second crop.

Exciting things are happening at the farm!

Tuesday, we received a certificate about high quality milk from the dairy. This is something we strive to achieve every year. There is a lot of work that goes into this. Jim works very hard day and night to provide the best care for his animals and the farm.

Today we welcomed our first beef calf of the year. Primrose is new to our herd this year and we couldn’t be happier with how she’s been doing since she got to the farm. This morning she calved giving us a baby boy, Petey. We look forward to watching him grow. P.S he’s also a baldy and we’re suckers for them.
