It’s finally here! 🎉 The Oregon Grown Alpaca + Merino Roving we teased a couple of weeks ago is officially LIVE on the website!

We’re pretty darn excited about this one. We took our own River View Alpaca Co. fiber and blended it with gorgeous Apple Creek Merino from Veneta, Oregon to create a seriously soft, lofty roving that’s made for handspinners.
And the best part? All of the fiber was grown right here in Oregon. 🌲🦙

This blend is 75% alpaca + 25% merino, giving you that incredible alpaca softness and warmth with the bounce, strength, and lovely spinning qualities of merino. The black and brown roving has some especially beautiful natural heathering that adds tons of depth once it hits your wheel or spindle.

We love getting to take fiber from two Oregon farms and turn it into something you can spin into your own one-of-a-kind yarn. There’s just something extra satisfying about knowing where your fiber came from. ❤️

We are so excited to be back at Made in Southern Oregon and Talent Harvest Festival again this year! They are a great kick off to the fall season, but we are also so grateful to be a part of the Wondereoids Faire for the first time. It’s going to be so much fun!

Our Alpaca & Rambouillet Bulky yarn has some beautiful new colors for the season—and we are *very* into this palette. 🤎

Made with 80% American alpaca and 20% American Rambouillet merino wool, this soft-spun single is wonderfully squishy, warm and lightweight. The alpaca gives it that silky softness and beautiful drape, while the Rambouillet adds loft, bounce and just the right amount of structure.

A new batt color is coming to the website!

There is a new color of alpaca/shetland batt coming to the site tomorrow and it is so pretty! A rich, chocolate brown alpaca paired with inky, blackish brown Shetland wool. It is so soft and going to spin like a dream.

All of these batts are holding a special place in my heart right now. The combo of alpaca and Shetland is just so nice. So soft and bouncy and you end up with a gorgeous halo in the finished spin. And the fact that all of the fiber in these batts is grown in Oregon. The alpaca from our farm and the Shetland from Roger’s Family Farm.
