NEW COLORS! 🧶

Our Alpaca & Rambouillet Bulky yarn has some beautiful new colors for the season—and we are *very* into this palette. šŸ¤Ž

Made with 80% American alpaca and 20% American Rambouillet merino wool, this soft-spun single is wonderfully squishy, warm and lightweight. The alpaca gives it that silky softness and beautiful drape, while the Rambouillet adds loft, bounce and just the right amount of structure.

At 150 yards per 4 oz skein, it’s perfect for cozy fall projects like oversized sweaters, chunky scarves, hats, cowls and blankets. 🧶

Come find your favorite fall shade and get something cozy on your needles! šŸ

A new batt color is coming to the website!

There is a new color of alpaca/shetland batt coming to the site tomorrow and it is so pretty! A rich, chocolate brown alpaca paired with inky, blackish brown Shetland wool. It is so soft and going to spin like a dream.

All of these batts are holding a special place in my heart right now. The combo of alpaca and Shetland is just so nice. So soft and bouncy and you end up with a gorgeous halo in the finished spin. And the fact that all of the fiber in these batts is grown in Oregon. The alpaca from our farm and the Shetland from Roger’s Family Farm.

✨ New Spinning Batts Have Arrived! ✨

We’re excited to introduce two brand-new hand-carded spinning batts, each crafted in small batches right here at River View Alpaca Co. for hand spinners who love unique, farm-grown fiber.

🌿 Oregon-Grown Alpaca & Shetland Wool Batts
Made entirely from natural, undyed fiber raised on two small Oregon farms, these batts feature soft alpaca from our herd paired with beautiful Shetland wool from another local flock. Available in natural white and light grey, every fiber comes from animals whose names and stories are known. Supporting small-production wool and preserving local fiber traditions is a huge part of our mission, and we’re thrilled to share these truly farm-to-yarn batts with you.

šŸŽØ Black Alpaca & Dyed Merino Batts
Looking for something colorful? These batts combine our black alpaca fiber with dyed merino wool in shades of blue, teal, green, and grey. The fibers are blended just enough to create gorgeous heathered handspun yarn with pops of color throughout, making every skein completely unique.
Both spinning batts are hand carded on our farm and are perfect for hand spinning, blending, felting, weaving, and other fiber arts projects. Whether you’re drawn to the natural beauty of Oregon-grown fiber or love colorful, one-of-a-kind handspun yarn, we’ve got something new for your wheel or spindle.

Got a project that’s been sitting in your bag waiting for some attention? Bring it to our first Stitch & Bitch at The Drift Collective this Thursday, June 11, from 5–7 PM!

Grab a drink, settle in on the patio, and spend the evening crafting, chatting, laughing, venting, and connecting with fellow makers. Knitters, crocheters, embroiderers, hand stitchers, and all portable crafts are welcome.

We’ll also be bringing a special mini yarn pop-up featuring our alpaca blend yarn. This is an exclusive in-person shopping opportunity—our yarn is usually only available online and at select markets—so if you’ve been wanting to add some farm-grown softness to your stash, this is your chance.

Come craft with us. Bring a friend, bring a project, and join us for a cozy summer evening in Ashland!
