How do you unclog your drain?

✔️ Start working the snake into the drain opening and then turn the handle on the drum that contains the coiled-up snake.
✔️ Push until you feel resistance. You may have to apply more pressure when cranking to work around the curve. It usually slides through easily until you hit the clog.
✔️ Rotate the snake against the blockage until you feel it feed freely into the pipe. The tip of the snake should attach to the clog and dislodge it.
✔️ Run water full force to ensure the drain is unclogged.

👍 Prevent future clogs by using a sink strainer and taking proper care of your garbage disposal. Use chemicals sparingly! They can sometimes do more harm than good.
