Proud to see this guy representing Agriculture!

Georgia Agriculture Commissioner Tyler Harper, Representative David Huddleston and myself joined the Coweta County Cattlemen's Association, Inc. (Their President, Penny Bowie pictured) for their 75th Anniversary dinner last night. We got to learn about the historic significance of the Coweta County Cattle Industry. Coweta County had many registered herds early-on that helped shape American beef cattle. Coweta County was the second county in Georgia to organize a cattleman's association and was for a time the headquarters for the Georgia Cattleman's Association. Commissioner Tyler Harper spoke mostly of the crisis that faces so many Georgia Farmers in the aftermath of Hurricane Helene. Many crops have been destroyed. Hurricane damage has destroyed processing facilities offering farms no place to take what little crops have survived to harvest. Many rural communities in Georgia will have to endure months before power is restored. Our prayers go out to them.

This looks like fun.
