I love to cook & share recipes with friends❣️ I guess you could call my style of food ‘Texas – Carolina Fusion’. Growing up in South Carolina greatly influenced my love of all things southern – particularly the food of the deep south. I then moved to Texas thirty years ago with my young children and they consider themselves Texans. We all enjoy the Southwestern cuisine Texas is now known for – tha

nks in particular to the founding father himself – Chef Stephan Pyles. Stephan has contributed so much to my style of cooking and his friendship has enriched my life in countless ways. My southern roots still ring true in all of my cooking and I love those family gatherings where I get to combine our Texas & Carolina cuisines into one very flavorful meal! My husband and children & granddaughters are my heart and soul. They are what drives me. My children are my mentors and my inspiration – I admire everything about them. After an insightful discussion by and with my daughter about the importance of living one’s passion, “Valerie’s Thyme” was born. My most precious memories always seem to involve the family table and I am so excited to share some our faves with YOU!
