Back in 2014 Ryan Durham, owner of Big Daddy’s Salsa, while working in Marysville, met his friend Sanjay. She sent over some green shrimp curry for him to try. There was an apple onion & garlic chutney to put on top. Ryan said, “Holy $ , green apples would make really delicious salsa!” While growing up his mom owned a Mexican restaurant and you could always find her in the kitchen. She is known
for her red salsa. His innovative mind went to work. He then married the 2 ideas together and came up with Big Daddy’s Green Apple Salsa as we know today. His wife Laura, co-owner of Big Daddy's Salsa Co., loved it and encouraged him to start selling it. They quickly designed a label, posted it on Facebook and the orders came flooding in. His friends tried it and from there began selling it at the local Thursday Night Market in Grass Valley, CA as well as Cornish Christmas. The following spring people were lining up as we started selling it from our car. People quickly became loyal customers. You could expect hearing across the way from where ever Ryan went, “Where’s the salsa?!” We make our salsa with fresh ingredients and lots of love � shoutout to all of our loyal customers that have been with us since day one.
