First and foremost, I want thank all of my customers who came in to check on me, support me, and for all the prayers & well wishes on Friday. It was a tough day, but God! I missed you all. It literally took me until this evening to recover, but I am looking forward to this Friday.

Top of the mornin’ to ya! Through much prayer, faith, and trust in God I will be opening TODAY, Friday, June 19, 2026! I will be open with modified hours of 12 - 6 p.m. today at Stacy’s Salt & Pepper Cafè in Crossroads Market & Auction LLC in Gratz.

Good afternoon, S & P’ers!

First of all, I certainly do miss you all. It seems as if I have not seen you all for 6 months even though it’s been 6 weeks. I am still working on getter well, but it will take time. However, there is a good possibility that I may be opening this Friday, June 19th ( with adjusted hours(limited). I won’t know exactly ‘til Thursday after both of my appointments. My neurosurgeon just told me that I don’t need surgery right now so praise the Lord for that.

My menu might be different for a while, but I still will only give you the best! I might not have spaghetti every week, but I will still have it maybe every other week. My menu will continue to vary because ya know… .😊

Except, middle of tier #4 Pennsylvanians call Whoopie Pies not gobs.

A Pennsylvania food pyramid would have pretzels, pierogies, chips, and whoopie pies holding up the whole operation, because around here carbs are not a side dish, they are load-bearing architecture. The middle would be scrapple, Lebanon bologna, red beet eggs, chicken pot pie with noodles, and ham and green beans, also known as “things your grandparents considered a light lunch.” Near the top you’d find birch beer, Tastykakes, peanut chews, funnel cake, and a pickle that somehow came with the meal even though nobody asked. And at the very tiny top, barely visible, would be a sad little salad leaf labeled “for decoration only.” Balanced diet? Maybe not. Pennsylvania diet? Absolutely.

Reminder that I will not be opening Stacy’s Salt & Pepper Cafè Crossroads Market & Auction LLC in Gratz tomorrow due to my health. I am looking to possibly being back on June 19th, but that depends on how things turn out at the 3 specialists appointments over the next week.
